Buses
If you are looking to really immerse yourself in the culture of St. Lucia, the island’s minibuses are a great way to do so.  Popular with the locals, minibus prices range from $2.5 to $8.00 EC.  While taking the bus means meeting at a certain location and making sure your schedule and the bus schedule line up, it can be a great way to chat with the locals and take in some St. Lucian culture.

Taxis (Most recommended)
Taxi cabs can be a great way to explore St. Lucia- especially if you are here as part of a cruise or island-hopping adventure.  You will find that the island’s taxis are not metered, but by booking in advance, you can secure a private ride with a top company that includes any sights and stops that interest you.  Taxis are available anywhere on the island and can meet at cruise terminals, UVF, SLU, and more and rates depend on number of people, destination, pickup point, and more.  Some of St. Lucia’s top taxi services include St. Lucia Executive, St. Lucia Airport Transfers, and St. Lucia Taxi Service.

Rental Cars
If you are looking to spend a day or more exploring St. Lucia, rental cars can be an excellent choice.  Most St. Lucia car rentals are 4x4 equipped in order to smoothly handle changes in terrain, and renting a car means that you can do what you want to do on your own time.  Take note, however, that you will need a valid driver’s license from your home country in order to obtain a temporary license in St. Lucia.

Ferries
If you are visiting St. Lucia from another Caribbean island or looking to fit it into your Caribbean getaway, a ferry can be a great option.  The island is connected to Martinique, Dominica, and Guadeloupe by a number of ferry lines.  You can visit the St. Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority to view schedules, learn about fees, and more.

Helicopter Rentals
If luxury is the goal of your trip to St. Lucia, then booking your St. Lucia airport transfer via helicopter can be a great way to go.  Many of the island’s resorts have helicopter landing pads, and there is no better way to get across the island and to see St. Lucia in all her glory than to travel via helicopter.
